The International Chinese Musculoskeletal Research Conference (ICMRC) is a biennial international meeting in orthopaedic research organized by the International Chinese Musculoskeletal Research Society (ICMRS). The 6th ICMRC (ICMRC-2026) will be held in Jinjiang, Fujian Province, China, from June 25 to June 28, 2026. The conference will be jointly organized by ICMRS, the National Center for Orthopaedic Medicine at Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, and Jinjiang Hospital (Fujian Branch of Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital). The conference will be co-chaired by Professor Wentian Yang, President of ICMRS and Professor at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and Professor Changqing Zhang from the National Center for Orthopaedic Medicine at Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital. The conference theme is “From Fundamental Discovery to Clinical Impact in Musculoskeletal Medicine.”

With the continued deepening of medicine–engineering integration in orthopaedics, close interaction between basic research and clinical practice—from molecular mechanisms and biomaterials development to precision diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation—has become a key driver of progress in the field. In this context, the conference will bring together leading international experts to present breakthrough advances in musculoskeletal research and to discuss critical pathways and practical experiences in translating fundamental discoveries into clinical applications, with the goal of improving patient care. The program will include keynote lectures, plenary and thematic sessions, and frontier forums, as well as oral and poster presentations, providing a dynamic platform for academic exchange and collaboration among researchers from China and abroad. To encourage innovation, the conference will also present Rising Star Awards and Young Investigator Awards, recognizing excellence and emerging talent in orthopaedic research.
