The International Chinese Musculoskeletal Research Conference (ICMRC) is a biennial international meeting in orthopaedic research organized by the International Chinese Musculoskeletal Research Society (ICMRS). The 6th ICMRC (ICMRC-2026) will be held in Jinjiang, Fujian Province, China, from June 25 to June 28, 2026. The conference will be jointly organized by ICMRS, the National Center for Orthopaedic Medicine at Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, and Jinjiang Hospital (Fujian Branch of Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital). The conference will be co-chaired by Professor Wentian Yang, President of ICMRS and Professor at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and Professor Changqing Zhang from the National Center for Orthopaedic Medicine at Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital. The conference theme is “From Fundamental Discovery to Clinical Impact in Musculoskeletal Medicine.”

With the continued deepening of medicine–engineering integration in orthopaedics, close interaction between basic research and clinical practice—from molecular mechanisms and biomaterials development to precision diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation—has become a key driver of progress in the field. In this context, the conference will bring together leading international experts to present breakthrough advances in musculoskeletal research and to discuss critical pathways and practical experiences in translating fundamental discoveries into clinical applications, with the goal of improving patient care. The program will include keynote lectures, plenary and thematic sessions, and frontier forums, as well as oral and poster presentations, providing a dynamic platform for academic exchange and collaboration among researchers from China and abroad. To encourage innovation, the conference will also present Rising Star Awards and Young Investigator Awards, recognizing excellence and emerging talent in orthopaedic research. 国际华人骨科研究大会 (International Chinese Musculoskeletal Research Conference, ICMRC) 是由国际华人骨研学会 (International Chinese Musculoskeletal Research Society, ICMRS) 主办的两年一度的国际骨科研究盛会。第六届国际华人骨科研究大会 (ICMRC2026) 将于2026年6月25日至6月28日在福建晋江隆重召开。本次会议将由ICMRS与国家骨科医学中心上海交通大学医学院附属第六人民医院和晋江市医院 (上海六院福建医院) 共同举办。大会主席由ICMRS主席布朗大学阿尔伯特医学院杨文天教授和国家骨科医学中心上海交通大学医学院附属第六人民医院张长青教授共同担任。大会主题为“From Fundamental Discovery to Clinical Impact in Musculoskeletal Medicine”。

当前，骨科领域的医工融合不断深化，从基础研究中的分子机制探索、生物材料研发，到临床实践中的精准诊疗、康复创新，基础与临床的深度联动已成为推动学科发展的核心动力。鉴于此，本次大会将邀请全球骨科及相关领域的知名专家与学者，系统呈现骨骼肌肉疾病基础研究的突破性进展，深入探讨基础成果向临床转化的关键路径与实践经验，助力解决临床实际问题，提升骨科疾病诊断和治疗。
