About 90 ICMRS members attended the meeting. Dr. Steven Teitelbaum from the Washington University School of Medicine gave a keynote speech on "The osteoclasts; what does it do and how does it do it?" The keynote speech was followed by presentation of three WJ Awards to recipients: Shan Li from Rush University Medical Center, Xin Xu from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and Tiao Lin from University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Finally, the President of ICMRS, Dr. Xu Cao, briefed the accomplishments and ongoing work performed by his team. The success of this meeting was due to the diligent efforts of the program committee, including Drs. Ling Qin (UPenn), Herb Sun, Neil Dong, Minyi Hu, and Bin Li.
