Post-doc research fellow position in computational bone mechanics at the University of Texas at San Antonio
The Mechanics of Biological Materials/Structures Lab is seeking a post-doc research fellow to work on an existing research project on AI assisted QCT based finite element modeling of bone for accurate risk assessment of bone fragility fractures. All applicants are required to have a PhD degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, and other related engineering disciplines. A successful candidate is required to have experience in finite element modeling of bone tissues and/or whole bones (e.g., proximal femurs and vertebral bodies), and preferred to have some experience in probabilistic analyses of random structures, such as trabecular bone. This is an one-year appointment and extendable pending on available funding.
