This position requires a recent PhD degree in synthetic organic/polymer chemistry, materials sciences, chemical biology or a closely related field. The candidate is expected to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Applicants are required to have hands-on experience in organic/polymer synthesis and characterization of mechanical/biological properties of synthetic materials. Prior cell culture and animal work experience is preferred but not required. Research in the Song lab has been funded by the NIH and various non-for-profit foundations.
