One postdoctoral position in bone biology and/or stem cell biology is available immediately in the lab of Professor Yunzhi Peter Yang, Departments of Orthopedic Surgery at Stanford University at https://med.stanford.edu/yanglab.html. The candidates with strong biology and surgery experimental experience and interest in the areas of tissue regeneration is sought to participate in the NIH and DOD funded projects. The Lab particularly emphasizes development of multidisciplinary and novel approaches to address relevant biomedical questions in musculoskeletal tissue applications. Highly motivated candidates with experimental background, strong academic and publication record, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a strong commitment are invited to apply. Qualifications:

The postdoctoral fellow will participate in the projects involving stem cells and requires a strong background in stem cell biology, bone biology, genetic editing and surgical skills in orthopedic trauma and tendon injury in vivo models. The applicants who have abundant experience with cell culture, RNA extraction, qRT-PCR, bioinformatic analysis, tissue analysis techniques, such as paraffin embedding, tissue sectioning, immunohistological staining, histomorphometry, micro-CT, and mechanical tests, and orthopaedic surgery for rodents are highly encouraged for application.
